Construction site clearance: an essential step before and after works
Construction site clearance is much more than simply removing furniture. It is a logistics operation that takes place at two key moments in the life of a site: before works, to free up space and protect existing property, and after works, to evacuate debris, old equipment and waste left by construction companies. A poorly executed clearance can delay the start of works, damage valuable property, or leave the site in a state that does not allow it to be put back into service.
At Ménage Parfait, we intervene on all types of sites: apartments under renovation, offices being reorganised, shops being redesigned, buildings being re-rendered, construction site accommodation being relocated, and technical premises being dismantled. Our agents are trained in handling heavy and bulky objects, dismantling fixed elements (bespoke furniture, wall shelving, integrated appliances) and protecting common areas during elevator and staircase access.
Since 2010, we have carried out thousands of clearance operations in Paris and its suburbs, for private individuals, property developers, property managers, removal companies and interior designers. Our experience allows us to anticipate difficulties and propose adapted solutions.

Our clearance services for professionals and individuals
Pre-works clearance
You have an apartment, office or premises to renovate. Before the contractors start, the premises must be emptied. We dismantle bespoke furniture, uninstall integrated appliances, protect objects to be kept and remove everything that needs to be disposed of or recycled. You receive the site empty and clean, ready for works.
Post-works clearance
The works are finished but the site is cluttered with debris, material offcuts, packaging, floor protection and dismantled old equipment. Our teams remove everything, sort what can be recycled from what must be disposed of, and leave the site clean for handover.
Clearing of premises and cellars
Commercial premises, cellars, garages, attics, communal laundry rooms: we empty forgotten storage spaces that are cluttering your property. Bags, old furniture, obsolete equipment, newspapers, old appliances — everything goes, sorted and directed to the appropriate channels.
Furniture and installation dismantling
Wall shelving, bespoke cupboards, integrated kitchenettes, removable partitions, blinds, fixed light fittings: our agents uninstall and dismantle all fixed elements of the site before removing them. Dismantling is included in our rate.
Construction site accommodation clearance
When the construction site comes to an end, the site accommodation must be evacuated: site offices, sanitary containers, canteens, security post furniture. We coordinate the removal with the end-of-site schedules.
Types of objects and waste we remove
We remove practically everything, with the exception of hazardous waste:
Furniture and equipment
Furniture, sofas, mattresses, wardrobes, desks, chairs, tables, shelving, light fittings, carpets, curtains, blinds. Whether the objects are in good condition or out of use, we remove them.
Appliances and electronics (WEEE)
Refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, microwaves, televisions, computers, printers. WEEE is directed to approved recycling channels.
Materials and construction waste
Planks, plasterboard, leftover tiles, pipes, cables, floor protection, tarpaulins, plastic film. Sorted by our teams and directed to the appropriate channels.
What we do not accept
Asbestos, lead, chemicals, solvents, classified HWD paints, medicines, explosives. For these hazardous wastes, we direct you to approved providers.
How a clearance operation works
Visit or photo assessment
We assess the volume to be removed, the accessibility of the site, time constraints and objects to be kept if applicable. The assessment can be carried out on-site or remotely via photos.
Detailed quote and schedule
You receive a quote within 2h, with details of the operations, the intervention schedule and the rate. The quote is free and without commitment.
Protection and preparation
Our teams protect common areas (lift, halls, staircases, doors) with covers and protections before the clearance begins.
Dismantling and removal
Our agents dismantle fixed elements if necessary, wrap fragile objects and load everything into our vehicles. Each room is emptied one by one.
Cleaning and reinstatement
After the clearance, we clean the passageways, remove the protections and leave the site empty, clean and swept.
Our commitment to recycling and recovery
Reuse — Furniture and objects still in good condition are offered to local associations (Emmaüs, Secours Populaire, Le Relais).
Recycling — Metals, cardboard, plastics, wood and WEEE are directed to approved recycling channels.
Energy recovery — What can neither be reused nor recycled is directed to energy recovery centres.
Traceability — You receive a destruction and recycling certificate attesting to the final destination of your waste.

Frequently asked questions about construction site clearance
- What is the difference between clearance and rubble removal?
Clearance concerns objects, furniture, equipment and non-mineral waste (furniture, appliances, packaging). Rubble removal concerns inert mineral waste (concrete, bricks, earth, tiles). Both operations are often complementary and can be carried out simultaneously. - Does clearance include furniture dismantling?
Yes. The dismantling of furniture, wall shelving, integrated appliances and removable partitions is included in our clearance rate. Only the dismantling of structural elements remains the responsibility of the construction company. - How much does an apartment clearance cost in Paris?
The rate depends on the volume to be removed, the number of rooms, the floor, the presence of a lift and the amount of dismantling required. Our quotes are free and prepared within 2h. - Can you clear an apartment in one day?
Yes, for standard surfaces (up to 80 m²) with an average volume of furniture, our teams of 2 to 4 agents empty an apartment in one day. For larger volumes, the intervention may extend over two days. - What do you do with objects still in good condition?
We systematically sort them. Reusable objects are directed to local associations (Emmaüs, Le Relais, Secours Populaire). On request, we can set them aside for you to collect. - Do you work at weekends?
Yes, we work on Saturday mornings according to the hours authorised by the co-ownership regulations. Sundays are exceptional and subject to a surcharge.
