Home and office cleaning across Paris, Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines, handled entirely in English

English-speaking cleaning team in Paris

Ménage Parfait is a Paris cleaning company with 35 salaried agents and more than 150 business clients. Quotes, contracts, invoices and day-to-day contact are available in English, so you do not need to navigate French administrative vocabulary to get your home or office cleaned. We are registered in France under SIREN 953 292 877 and hold the services à la personne approval n°2023-433.

Why Hiring a Cleaner in France Is Harder Than It Should Be

Most people arriving in Paris do not struggle to find a cleaning company. They struggle with everything around it. These are the four points that come up most often:

  • The vocabulary is unfamiliar. Devis, prestation, préavis, attestation: the words that structure a French cleaning contract rarely appear in a language course. We provide all of it in English and explain what each document does.
  • Notice periods catch people out. French service contracts usually carry a notice period. If you are on a fixed assignment and may leave at short notice, that matters. We tell you the terms before you sign, in writing, in English.
  • Payment methods feel archaic. Many providers still expect a cheque or a bank transfer set up in advance. We accept card and transfer, and we invoice in a format your employer or relocation agency can process.
  • Nobody explains the 50 percent tax credit. Household cleaning in France carries a 50 percent income tax credit for eligible residents. Most new arrivals have never heard of it, and a foreign booking platform cannot provide it at all.

The 50 Percent Tax Credit, Explained in English

Domestic cleaning at your French residence qualifies for a 50 percent income tax credit under the services à la personne scheme, up to an annual spending ceiling. It is a credit rather than a deduction, so it applies whether or not you owe tax. The condition most people miss is that the provider must hold an SAP approval number. Ours is n°2023-433. A foreign booking platform matching you with independent cleaners cannot give you this, whatever its hourly rate looks like.

  • You pay the full rate during the year. Recurring maintenance cleaning is charged at 26 € excluding VAT per hour. One-off and heavy-soil work is quoted after a site visit. Both qualify for the credit.
  • We issue an annual attestation fiscale. This is the document that proves your eligible spending. Ask for it if you have not received it by the spring.
  • You declare it on your income tax return. The amount goes on the 2042-RICI annex to your French tax return, and 50 percent comes back to you.

Who does not qualify

You must be tax resident in France and file a French income tax return. If you have just arrived and have not yet filed, or if your employer or relocation package already covers the cost, the credit will not apply to you. We are a cleaning company rather than tax advisors, so confirm your own position with your accountant or your local tax office.

What We Clean

How It Works

  • Tell us what you need. Call, email or send a message in English with your address, the size of the property and how often you want us.
  • We send a written quote. Fixed and itemised, in English, with the notice period and payment terms stated clearly.
  • We assign an agent. The same person returns each visit wherever scheduling allows, so your preferences carry over.
  • You receive a proper invoice. Payable by card or transfer, plus an annual attestation fiscale for your tax return if you are eligible.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to speak French to work with you?
No. Quotes, contracts, invoices and day-to-day contact can all be handled in English. Some of our cleaning agents speak limited English, so instructions are agreed in advance in writing and passed on by our office.
  • How much does home cleaning cost?
Recurring maintenance cleaning is 26 € excluding VAT per hour, with no travel charge inside our service area. One-off deep cleans and heavily soiled properties are priced after a site visit, because a home left unattended for a year is a different job from a weekly clean. Eligible residents recover 50 percent through the tax credit either way.
  • Can I pay by card?
Yes. We accept card payment and bank transfer, and we do not require cheques.
  • Are your cleaners employees or subcontractors?
All 35 of our agents are salaried employees on French employment contracts, trained internally and covered by our professional liability insurance.
  • What notice do I need to give if I leave France?
The notice period is stated in your contract before you sign, and we will explain it in English. We do not use long lock-in periods for domestic clients.
  • Do you provide the documents I need for my tax return?
Yes. We issue an annual attestation fiscale showing your eligible spending, which is what you use to claim the credit on your 2042-RICI.
